إِنَّ مَثَلَ عِيسَىٰ عِندَ اللَّهِ كَمَثَلِ آدَمَ ۖ خَلَقَهُ مِن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُ

 Ayat 59 (03:59) سورة آل عمران

Surely, the example of ‘Isa (Jesus) in the sight of Allah is the same as that of Adam whom He formed from clay, then said (to him): ‘Be.’ And he became.

The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.

Sesungguhnya misal (penciptaan) Isa di sisi AllAh, adalah seperti (penciptaan) Adam. Allah menciptakan Adam dari tanah, kemudian Allah berfirman kepadanya: "Jadilah" (seorang manusia), maka jadilah dia

إِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِّنْهُ اسْمُهُ الْمَسِيحُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَجِيهًا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّبِينَ


(And remember) when the angels said: O Mary! Lo! Allah giveth thee glad tidings of a word from him, whose name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, illustrious in the world and the Hereafter, and one of those brought near (unto Allah)

When the angels said: ‘O Maryam (Mary), surely, Allah gives you glad tidings of a (particular) Word from Him named the Messiah, ‘Isa, the son of Maryam (Jesus, the son of Mary), who would be eminent and exalted, (both) in this world and in the Hereafter, and would be of those who are exceptionally intimate servants of Allah blessed with His nearness.

(Ingatlah) ketika malaikat berkata: "Wahai Maryam! Bahawasanya Allah memberikan khabar yang mengembirakanmu, dengan (mengurniakan seorang anak yang engkau akan kandungkan semata-mata dengan) Kalimah daripada Allah, nama anak itu: Al-Masih, Isa Ibni Maryam, seorang yang terkemuka di dunia dan di akhirat, dan ia juga dari orang-orang yang didampingkan (diberi kemuliaan di sisi Allah)

 وَمَكَرُوا وَمَكَرَ اللَّهُ ۖ وَاللَّهُ خَيْرُ الْمَاكِرِينَ


Then, the disbelieving (Jews) conspired secretly (to execute ‘Isa [Jesus]), but Allah covertly designed His plan (to safeguard ‘Isa [Jesus]). And Allah is the Best of secret planners.

( Have to Listen From Start Till The End Before Read The Below Comment)

The Answer is Simple. All the Prophets since Prophet Adam a.s until the Last, Prophet Muhammad s.a.w were appointed by the same and the only God. 
God (Allah) has sent guidance through His prophets and messengers. Among them, several have also brought books of revelation / scriptures. Muslims therefore believe :

- Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad s.aw.
- Torah ( Tawrah as mentioned in Quran ) was revealed to the Prophet Moses or Nabi Musa a.s; the name as mentioned in Quran (different from the Old Testament read today).
- The Gospel ( Injil as mentioned in Quran ) was revealed to Prophet Jesus or Nabi Isa a.s; the name as mentioned in Quran (different from the New Testament read in churches today).
- The Psalms ( Zaboor as mentioned in Quran ) to Prophet David or Nabi Daud a.s; the name as mentioned in Quran 
- Scrolls (Suhuf  ) to Prophet Moses or Nabi Musa a.s and Prophet Abraham or Nabi Ibrahim as mentioned in Quran

To be more  precise, to the Islam followers to believe in Prophets and Messenger of Allah is one of the 6 pillars of faith. He or she is not a muslim if he or she not believe that the Prophet Jesus or Nabi Isa was not a Prophet who was appointed by Allah.
Anyway we are not believe in Torah or Gospel/Bible which in the hand of Jews or Christian today because they are not same as told by the Prophets Moses or Jesus before.
From Quran, the English translation :
(O Muslims!) Do you expect that they (the Jews) will believe in you, whereas amongst them were people of a group who heard the Word of Allah (Tawrat [the Torah]), then altered it (themselves) after understanding it, although they knew well (what the truth was and what they were doing)? - Quran, Al-Baqarah verse 75)
And surely We gave Musa (Moses) the Book (the Torah) and sent (many) Messengers after him in succession. And We also gave ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, (Jesus, the son of Mary,) luminous signs and strengthened (and supported) him by means of the Holy Spirit. But (what followed is that) whenever a Messenger brought you (the commandments) your (ill-commanding) selves disliked, you adamantly resisted there and then. You belied some of them and started killing others. - Quran, Al-Baqarah, verse 87

Then Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad or Nabi Muhammad s.a.w
Surely, the example of ‘Isa (Jesus) in the sight of Allah is the same as that of Adam whom He formed from clay, then said (to him): ‘Be.’ And he became. - Al ‘Imran, verse 59
By the above verse, confirm that Jesus or Prophet Isa a.s is a human like Prophet Adam a.s and other Prophets.

O People of the Book! Believe in (that Book) which We have revealed (now to Our Beloved Muhammad [blessings and peace be upon him]) which (originally) confirms the Book that is with you, before We disfigure (features of some) faces and turn them on to their rear, or cast on them a curse like the one that We cast on those (who disobeyed) in the case of Sabbath. And the commandment of Allah is bound to be executed.- An Nisa, verse 47
Then Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad or Nabi Muhammad s.a.w and one of the purpose to confirms the previous books of revelation / scriptures.
That why we can find some stories of Prophets told in Quran also told in English translated Bible or in Hebrew Bible. The God who teach Prophet Muhammad s.a.w through Malaikat Jibrail /  Angel Gabriel also the same God who teach Jesus, Moses and Abraham ( Isa, Musa and Ibrahim a.s). 
Why don't we revise the thinking that the story of past event in Quran was taken from Bible or Torah.
Why don't we think, Quran was revealed and Prophet Muhammad s.a.w was appointed by Allah to convey the message about the true way in submitting to God. At the same time to tell the true story of past Prophets and Messenger so that we have the right story instead of missing parts or just left out due to someone interest or the time gap when bible was compiled. 
The sentences or verses in Quran today still same as what Prophet Muhammad has received but some parts of the previous books of revelation / scriptures was missing or contradict each others*.

That is some 350 years after the time the Church claims that a Jesus Christ walked the sands of Palestine, and here the true story of Christian origins slips into one of the biggest black holes in history. So, does the Bible contradict itself? In one sense, of course it does. The Bible is not one book after all, it is a library of books gathered, compiled, composed, and edited over the course of centuries. That one book or passage should disagree, even substantially, with another is only inevitable.

But in another sense we can say that when the Bible is contradicting itself it is at the same time conversing with itself. One text speaks to another, challenging it, probing it, shedding new light upon it. The internal conversation going on in Scripture creates some of the Bible’s most important messages. If the Bible speaks the word of God (and I believe it does), then it is above all a dynamic word. At the end it's means someone must work hard to make the "word of God as believed by Christian" perfect and match in all the bibles while some parts were accepted as missing or left out.

Ayat 02 ( 02:132) سورة البقرة
Were you present (at the time) when death approached Ya‘qub (Jacob) when he asked his sons: ‘Whom will you worship after (my passing away)?’ They said: ‘We shall worship your God, the God of your ancestors Ibrahim (Abraham) and Isma‘il (Ishmael) and Ishaq (Isaac), Who is the One and Only God; and we (all) shall remain obedient to Him.’

Dan sesungguhnya Kami telah mendatangkan Al Kitab (Taurat) kepada Musa, dan Kami telah menyusulinya (berturut-turut) sesudah itu dengan rasul-rasul, dan telah Kami berikan bukti-bukti kebenaran (mukjizat) kepada Isa putera Maryam dan Kami memperkuatnya dengan Ruhul Qudus. Apakah setiap datang kepadamu seorang rasul membawa sesuatu (pelajaran) yang tidak sesuai dengan keinginanmu lalu kamu menyombong; maka beberapa orang (diantara mereka) kamu dustakan dan beberapa orang (yang lain) kamu bunuh ?

 مَّا الْمَسِيحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ إِلَّا رَسُولٌ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِن قَبْلِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَأُمُّهُ صِدِّيقَةٌ ۖ كَانَا يَأْكُلَانِ الطَّعَامَ ۗ انظُرْ كَيْفَ نُبَيِّنُ لَهُمُ الْآيَاتِ ثُمَّ انظُرْ أَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ
The Messiah, the son of Maryam (Mary), is (nothing) but a Messenger (neither a god nor a son of God nor His partner). Many Messengers have indeed preceded him, and his mother was a paragon of truth (a saintly person). Both (were mortal creatures as they) used to eat food. (O Beloved!) Observe how clearly We explain the Revelations for their (guidance), but again observe how (in spite of that) they are turning away (from the truth) !
Tiadalah Al-Masih Ibni Maryam itu melainkan seorang Rasul yang telah terdahulu sebelumnya beberapa orang Rasul, dan ibunya seorang perempuan yang amat benar, mereka berdua adalah memakan makanan (seperti kamu juga). Lihatlah bagaimana kami jelaskan kepada mereka (ahli kitab itu) keterangan-keterangan (yang tegas yang menunjukkan kesesatan mereka), kemudian lihatlah bagaimana mereka dipalingkan (oleh hawa nafsu mereka dari menerima kebenaran yang jelas nyata itu).

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
In The Name Of Allah, Most Compassionate, Ever-Merciful




1. كهيعصO
1. Kaf, Ha, Ya, ‘Ayn, Sad. (Only Allah and the Messenger [blessings and peace be upon him] know the real meaning.)
2. ذِكْرُ رَحْمَتِ رَبِّكَ عَبْدَهُ زَكَرِيَّاO
2. This is an account of the mercy of your Lord (bestowed) upon His (chosen) servant Zakariyya (Zacharias),
3. إِذْ نَادَى رَبَّهُ نِدَاءً خَفِيًّاO
3. When he called upon his Lord in a low voice (charged with politeness and submissiveness).
4. قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي وَهَنَ الْعَظْمُ مِنِّي وَاشْتَعَلَ الرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُن بِدُعَائِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّاO
4. He submitted: ‘O my Lord, my bones have grown tender and (my) head has turned white like a flame due to old age and, O my Lord, I have never been unblessed when supplicating You.
5. وَإِنِّي خِفْتُ الْمَوَالِيَ مِن وَرَائِي وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا فَهَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ وَلِيًّاO
5. And I fear my (disbelieving) relatives (may ruin the blessing of Din [Religion]) after my (soul departs) and my wife (too) is barren. So bless me from Your presence with an heir (son),
6. يَرِثُنِي وَيَرِثُ مِنْ آلِ يَعْقُوبَ وَاجْعَلْهُ رَبِّ رَضِيًّاO
6. (The one) who should be my heir (of divine blessing), and also the heir of (the chain of Prophethood from) the Children of Ya‘qub (Jacob). And, O my Lord, (also) make him a recipient of Your Pleasure.’
7. يَا زَكَرِيَّا إِنَّا نُبَشِّرُكَ بِغُلاَمٍ اسْمُهُ يَحْيَى لَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُ مِن قَبْلُ سَمِيًّاO
7. (Allah said:) ‘O Zakariyya (Zacharias), indeed We give you the good news of a son whose name shall be Yahya (John). We have not given this name to anyone before him.’
8. قَالَ رَبِّ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَمٌ وَكَانَتِ امْرَأَتِي عَاقِرًا وَقَدْ بَلَغْتُ مِنَ الْكِبَرِ عِتِيًّاO
8. (Zakariyya [Zacharias]) submitted: ‘My Lord, how can there be a son to me whilst my wife is barren, and I have shrivelled (into extreme debility) on account of old age?’
9. قَالَ كَذَلِكَ قَالَ رَبُّكَ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَقَدْ خَلَقْتُكَ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ تَكُ شَيْئًاO
9. (He) said: ‘(Don’t be amazed.) It will be the same way.’ Your Lord said: ‘It is easy for Me (to create a son). Certainly, I created you (too) before, whilst you were (just) nothing.’
10. قَالَ رَبِّ اجْعَل لِّي آيَةً قَالَ آيَتُكَ أَلاَّ تُكَلِّمَ النَّاسَ ثَلاَثَ لَيَالٍ سَوِيًّاO
10. (Zakariyya [Zacharias]) submitted: ‘My Lord, set a sign for me.’ He said: ‘Your sign is that, despite good health, you shall not be able to speak to the people for three nights (and days).’
11. فَخَرَجَ عَلَى قَوْمِهِ مِنَ الْمِحْرَابِ فَأَوْحَى إِلَيْهِمْ أَن سَبِّحُوا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّاO
11. Then (Zakariyya [Zacharias]) came out from his worshipping chamber to his people and conveyed to them (i.e., made them understand) by gestures to glorify (Allah) morning and evening.
12. يَا يَحْيَى خُذِ الْكِتَابَ بِقُوَّةٍ وَآتَيْنَاهُ الْحُكْمَ صَبِيًّاO
12. O Yahya (John)! Hold fast to (Our) Book (the Torah). And We granted him wisdom and vision (i.e., Prophethood) whilst yet a child,
13. وَحَنَانًا مِّن لَّدُنَّا وَزَكَاةً وَكَانَ تَقِيًّاO
13. And (blessed him) with sympathy and tenderness and purity and virtuousness from Our kind presence, and he was very Godfearing.
14. وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَمْ يَكُن جَبَّارًا عَصِيًّاO
14. (He was) greatly righteous (and dutiful) to his parents, and was neither disobedient nor arrogant (like common boys).
15. وَسَلاَمٌ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمَ وُلِدَ وَيَوْمَ يَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ يُبْعَثُ حَيًّاO
15. And peace be on Yahya (John) the day he was born, the day he dies, and the day he will be raised up alive!
16. وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مَرْيَمَ إِذِ انتَبَذَتْ مِنْ أَهْلِهَا مَكَانًا شَرْقِيًّاO
16. And, (O My Esteemed Beloved,) recite the account of Maryam (Mary) in the Book (the Holy Qur’an) when she separated from her family (adopting seclusion for worship and) moved to the eastern house.
17. فَاتَّخَذَتْ مِن دُونِهِمْ حِجَابًا فَأَرْسَلْنَا إِلَيْهَا رُوحَنَا فَتَمَثَّلَ لَهَا بَشَرًا سَوِيًّاO
17. So she adopted veiling from them (the family and the people so that the absolute divine beauty unveils Himself). Then We sent towards her Our Spirit (the angel, Gabriel), who appeared before her in complete form of a human being.
18. قَالَتْ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِالرَّحْمَنِ مِنكَ إِن كُنتَ تَقِيًّاO
18. (Maryam [Mary]) said: ‘I seek refuge with the Most Gracious (Lord) from you if you fear (Allah).’
19. قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا رَسُولُ رَبِّكِ لِأَهَبَ لَكِ غُلاَمًا زَكِيًّاO
19. (Jibra’il [Gabriel]) said: ‘I am only a messenger from your Lord. (I have come) to bestow upon you a pure son.’
20. قَالَتْ أَنَّى يَكُونُ لِي غُلاَمٌ وَلَمْ يَمْسَسْنِي بَشَرٌ وَلَمْ أَكُ بَغِيًّاO
20. (Maryam [Mary]) said: ‘How can there be a son to me, whereas no man has even touched me, nor am I unchaste?’
21. قَالَ كَذَلِكِ قَالَ رَبُّكِ هُوَ عَلَيَّ هَيِّنٌ وَلِنَجْعَلَهُ آيَةً لِّلنَّاسِ وَرَحْمَةً مِّنَّا وَكَانَ أَمْرًا مَّقْضِيًّاO
21. (Jibra’il [Gabriel]) said: ‘(Do not wonder.) It will be the same way. Your Lord says: This (work) is easy for Me, and (the objective is) that We may make him a sign for the people and mercy from Us. And it is a matter (already) decreed.’
22. فَحَمَلَتْهُ فَانتَبَذَتْ بِهِ مَكَانًا قَصِيًّاO
22. So Maryam (Mary) conceived him and positioned herself at a remote site, aloof (from the people).
23. فَأَجَاءَهَا الْمَخَاضُ إِلَى جِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ قَالَتْ يَا لَيْتَنِي مِتُّ قَبْلَ هَذَا وَكُنتُ نَسْيًا مَّنسِيًّاO
23. Then the birth pangs drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree. She said (in anxiety): ‘Would that I had died before this and had become totally forgotten!’
24. فَنَادَاهَا مِن تَحْتِهَا أَلاَّ تَحْزَنِي قَدْ جَعَلَ رَبُّكِ تَحْتَكِ سَرِيًّاO
24. Then (Gabriel or ‘Isa [Jesus] himself) called out to her from beneath her: ‘Grieve not. Surely, your Lord has made a water spring flow under you (or has created and laid under you an exalted human being).
25. وَهُزِّي إِلَيْكِ بِجِذْعِ النَّخْلَةِ تُسَاقِطْ عَلَيْكِ رُطَبًا جَنِيًّاO
25. And shake the trunk of the date-palm towards you. It will shed fresh ripe dates upon you.
26. فَكُلِي وَاشْرَبِي وَقَرِّي عَيْنًا فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ الْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِي إِنِّي نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ الْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّاO
26. So eat and drink and cool (your) eyes (with the sight of your beautiful, lovely baby). Then if you see any man, say (to him by gestures): ‘I have vowed a fast (of silence) to the Most Gracious (Lord), so I shall just not talk to any human being today.’
27. فَأَتَتْ بِهِ قَوْمَهَا تَحْمِلُهُ قَالُواْ يَا مَرْيَمُ لَقَدْ جِئْتِ شَيْئًا فَرِيًّاO
27. Then, carrying (the baby in her lap), she came to her people. They said: ‘O Maryam (Mary), surely you have brought quite an amazing thing!
28. يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّاO
28. O sister of Harun (Aaron)! Neither was your father a bad man, nor was your mother an unchaste woman.’
29. فَأَشَارَتْ إِلَيْهِ قَالُوا كَيْفَ نُكَلِّمُ مَن كَانَ فِي الْمَهْدِ صَبِيًّاO
29. On this Maryam (Mary) pointed to (the baby). They said: ‘How can we talk to him who is (yet) an infant in the cradle?’
30. قَالَ إِنِّي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ آتَانِيَ الْكِتَابَ وَجَعَلَنِي نَبِيًّاO
30. (The infant himself) spoke out: ‘I am indeed a servant of Allah. He has given me the Book and has raised me as a Prophet.
31. وَجَعَلَنِي مُبَارَكًا أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُ وَأَوْصَانِي بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ مَا دُمْتُ حَيًّاO
31. And wherever I may reside, He has made me an embodiment of blessing. And He has enjoined upon me Prayer and Zakat (the Alms-due) as long as I am alive.
32. وَبَرًّا بِوَالِدَتِي وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِي جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّاO
32. And (He has made me) treat my mother with excellence and has not made me disobedient and ill-fated.
33. وَالسَّلاَمُ عَلَيَّ يَوْمَ وُلِدتُّ وَيَوْمَ أَمُوتُ وَيَوْمَ أُبْعَثُ حَيًّاO
33. And peace be upon me on the day of my birth, the day of my demise and the day I shall be raised up alive!’
34. ذَلِكَ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ قَوْلَ الْحَقِّ الَّذِي فِيهِ يَمْتَرُونَO
34. Such is ‘Isa, the son of Maryam (Jesus, the son of Mary. That is) the truth about which these people doubt.
35. مَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ مِن وَلَدٍ سُبْحَانَهُ إِذَا قَضَى أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُ كُن فَيَكُونُO
35. It is not Allah’s Glory that He should take (to Himself anyone as) a son. Holy and Glorified is He (above this)! When He decrees any matter, He only says to it: ‘Be,’ and it becomes.
36. وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ رَبِّي وَرَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُ هَذَا صِرَاطٌ مُّسْتَقِيمٌO
36. And surely, Allah is my Lord and your Lord (too). So always worship Him alone. This is the straight path.
37. فَاخْتَلَفَ الْأَحْزَابُ مِن بَيْنِهِمْ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍO
37. Then their sects began to differ amongst themselves. So the disbelievers are doomed due to the presence on the Mighty Day (of Resurrection).
38. أَسْمِعْ بِهِمْ وَأَبْصِرْ يَوْمَ يَأْتُونَنَا لَكِنِ الظَّالِمُونَ الْيَوْمَ فِي ضَلاَلٍ مُّبِينٍO
38. How (curiously) will they hear (with their ears wide open), and how (bewilderedly) will they see (with their eyes stunned) on the Day when they will appear before Us! But Today the wrongdoers are but (sunk) into manifest error.
39. وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لاَ يُؤْمِنُونَO
39. And warn them of the Day of Regret (and Shame) when (every) matter shall be decided, but they are rapt in (a state of) negligence and simply do not believe.
40. إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَرِثُ الْأَرْضَ وَمَنْ عَلَيْهَا وَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَO
40. Surely, We alone are the Inheritor of the earth and (also) of those who dwell on it, and (they all) shall be brought back to Us.
41. وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّاO
41. And recite the account of Ibrahim (Abraham) in the Book (the Holy Qur’an). Surely, he was a Prophet blessed with truthfulness.
42. إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَا أَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لاَ يَسْمَعُ وَلاَ يُبْصِرُ وَلاَ يُغْنِي عَنكَ شَيْئًاO
42. When he said to his father (i.e., his uncle Azar who brought him up after his father Tarakh died): ‘O my father, why do you worship these (idols) which cannot hear or see, nor can they remove any (troublesome) thing from you?
43. يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي قَدْ جَاءَنِي مِنَ الْعِلْمِ مَا لَمْ يَأْتِكَ فَاتَّبِعْنِي أَهْدِكَ صِرَاطًا سَوِيًّاO
43. O father! No doubt there has come to me knowledge (from the divine presence of Allah) which has not come to you. Follow me; I shall show you the straight path.
44. يَا أَبَتِ لاَ تَعْبُدِ الشَّيْطَانَ إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَنِ عَصِيًّاO
44. O father! Do not worship Satan. Surely, Satan is a great rebel against the Most Kind (Lord).
45. يَا أَبَتِ إِنِّي أَخَافُ أَن يَمَسَّكَ عَذَابٌ مِّنَ الرَّحْمَن فَتَكُونَ لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَلِيًّاO
45. O father! Indeed, I fear that a torment from the Most Kind (Lord) may seize you and you become a companion of Satan.’
46. قَالَ أَرَاغِبٌ أَنتَ عَنْ آلِهَتِي يَا إِبْراهِيمُ لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ لَأَرْجُمَنَّكَ وَاهْجُرْنِي مَلِيًّاO
46. (Azar) said: ‘Ibrahim (Abraham), have you turned away from my gods? If you do not practically desist (from this opposition), I shall certainly stone you to death. And keep away from me for a long while.’
47. قَالَ سَلاَمٌ عَلَيْكَ سَأَسْتَغْفِرُ لَكَ رَبِّي إِنَّهُ كَانَ بِي حَفِيًّاO
47. Ibrahim (Abraham) said: ‘(All right,) peace be on you. I shall beg forgiveness for you from my Lord (even) now. He is indeed very kind to me. (He may bestow guidance upon you.)
48. وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَأَدْعُواْ رَبِّي عَسَى أَلاَّ أَكُونَ بِدُعَاءِ رَبِّي شَقِيًّاO
48. And I turn away from you (all), and these (idols) which you worship besides Allah. And I worship my Lord (with absolute concentration). I hope that, owing to the worship of my Lord, I shall not be deprived (of His bounty).’
49. فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَكُلاًّ جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّاO
49. So when Ibrahim (Abraham, giving up all social links,) completely separated from the people and those (idols) that they worshipped apart from Allah, We blessed him with Ishaq (Isaac) and Ya‘qub (Jacob, son and grandson,) and We made each of them a Prophet.
50. وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُم مِّن رَّحْمَتِنَا وَجَعَلْنَا لَهُمْ لِسَانَ صِدْقٍ عَلِيًّاO
50. And We awarded (all of) them Our (special) mercy, and put their praise and admiration on high rhetoric (amongst the believers of every religion).
51. وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ مُوسَى إِنَّهُ كَانَ مُخْلَصًا وَكَانَ رَسُولاً نَّبِيًّاO
51. And recite the account of Musa (Moses) in (this Holy) Book. Surely, (getting rid of the grip of self,) he had become exalted and was a Messenger and Prophet.
52. وَنَادَيْنَاهُ مِن جَانِبِ الطُّورِ الْأَيْمَنِ وَقَرَّبْنَاهُ نَجِيًّاO
52. And We called him out from the right of (Mount) Tur, and blessed him with Our (special) nearness for intimate discourse.
53. وَوَهَبْنَا لَهُ مِن رَّحْمَتِنَا أَخَاهُ هَارُونَ نَبِيًّاO
53. And out of Our mercy We granted him his brother Harun (Aaron), making him a Prophet (to assist him in his task).
54. وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صَادِقَ الْوَعْدِ وَكَانَ رَسُولاً نَّبِيًّاO
54. And recite the account of Isma‘il (Ishmael) in (this) Book. Surely, he was true to (his) promise and was a Messenger (and) a Prophet.
55. وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالصَّلاَةِ وَالزَّكَاةِ وَكَانَ عِندَ رَبِّهِ مَرْضِيًّاO
55. And he used to enjoin on his family Prayer and Zakat (the Alms-due), and (held) the station of mardiyya in the presence of his Lord (i.e., his Lord was well-pleased with him).
56. وَاذْكُرْ فِي الْكِتَابِ إِدْرِيسَ إِنَّهُ كَانَ صِدِّيقًا نَّبِيًّاO
56. And mention in the Book the account of Idris. Verily, he was a Prophet possessing the truth.
57. وَرَفَعْنَاهُ مَكَانًا عَلِيًّاO
57. And We raised him to a lofty station.
58. أُوْلَئِكَ الَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ النَّبِيِّينَ مِن ذُرِّيَّةِ آدَمَ وَمِمَّنْ حَمَلْنَا مَعَ نُوحٍ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّةِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَمِمَّنْ هَدَيْنَا وَاجْتَبَيْنَا إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُ الرَّحْمَن خَرُّوا سُجَّدًا وَبُكِيًّاO
58. These are the people on whom Allah bestowed favour from amongst the Prophets of the seed of Adam, and of those (believers) whom We (saved from Deluge and) carried with Nuh (Noah) in the Ark, and of the posterity of Ibrahim (Abraham) and Isra’il (Israel i.e., Ya‘qub [Jacob]) and of those (chosen ones) whom We guided and exalted. When the Verses of the Most Kind (Lord) are recited to them, they fall down prostrating themselves in (profuse) tears.
59. فَخَلَفَ مِن بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ أَضَاعُواْ الصَّلاَةَ وَاتَّبَعُواْ الشَّهَوَاتِ فَسَوْفَ يَلْقَوْنَ غَيًّاO
59. Then followed their pathetic successors who gave up Prayers and followed the lusts (of their ill-commanding selves). So they will soon face punishment in the Hereafter (in the Ghayi valley of Hell),
60. إِلاَّ مَن تَابَ وَآمَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَالِحًا فَأُوْلَئِكَ يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ وَلاَ يُظْلَمُونَ شَيْئًاO
60. Except the one who repents and believes and persists in righteous works; they will enter Paradise and will not be wronged in the least.
61. جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ الَّتِي وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَنُ عِبَادَهُ بِالْغَيْبِ إِنَّهُ كَانَ وَعْدُهُ مَأْتِيًّاO
61. (They will dwell) in such evergreen gardens which the Most Kind (Lord) has promised to His servants in the unseen. Certainly, His promise is about to come true.
62. لاَ يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا إِلاَّ سَلاَمًا وَلَهُمْ رِزْقُهُمْ فِيهَا بُكْرَةً وَعَشِيًّاO
62. They will not hear in it any absurd talk but only greetings of peace (pouring in from every direction). And for them, their sustenance will be (available) in it morning and evening.
63. تِلْكَ الْجَنَّةُ الَّتِي نُورِثُ مِنْ عِبَادِنَا مَن كَانَ تَقِيًّاO
63. This is the Paradise which We shall award as inheritance to those of Our servants who are Godfearing.
64. وَمَا نَتَنَزَّلُ إِلاَّ بِأَمْرِ رَبِّكَ لَهُ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِينَا وَمَا خَلْفَنَا وَمَا بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ وَمَا كَانَ رَبُّكَ نَسِيًّاO
64. And, (O Jibra’il [Gabriel], say to My Beloved:) ‘We cannot descend (onto earth) without the command of your Lord. To Him belongs whatever is before us and whatever is behind us and whatever is in between. And your Lord is never forgetful (of you).
65. رَبُّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَاعْبُدْهُ وَاصْطَبِرْ لِعِبَادَتِهِ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ لَهُ سَمِيًّاO
65. (He) is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between the two. So worship Him and remain steadfast in His worship. Do you know who is His namesake?’
66. وَيَقُولُ الْإِنسَانُ أَئِذَا مَا مِتُّ لَسَوْفَ أُخْرَجُ حَيًّاO
66. And man says: ‘Shall I be soon brought forth alive when I die?’
67. أَوَلاَ يَذْكُرُ الْإِنسَانُ أَنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُ مِن قَبْلُ وَلَمْ يَكُ شَيْئًاO
67. Does man not remember that We had created him before this (also) whilst he was just nothing?
68. فَوَرَبِّكَ لَنَحْشُرَنَّهُمْ وَالشَّيَاطِينَ ثُمَّ لَنُحْضِرَنَّهُمْ حَوْلَ جَهَنَّمَ جِثِيًّاO
68. So, by your Lord, We will certainly gather them and (all) satans together (on the Day of Judgment). We will then bring them (all) around Hell fallen down in kneeling position.
69. ثُمَّ لَنَنْزِعَنَّ مِن كُلِّ شِيعَةٍ أَيُّهُمْ أَشَدُّ عَلَى الرَّحْمَنِ عِتِيًّاO
69. Then We shall indeed pick out from every group the one who had been most disobedient to, and rebellious against, the Most Kind (Lord).
70. ثُمَّ لَنَحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِالَّذِينَ هُمْ أَوْلَى بِهَا صِلِيًّاO
70. And We know best those who are most deserving of being thrown into Hell.
71. وَإِن مِّنكُمْ إِلاَّ وَارِدُهَا كَانَ عَلَى رَبِّكَ حَتْمًا مَّقْضِيًّاO
71. And there is none of you but will pass over Hell. This (promise,) which will certainly be fulfilled, is absolutely with your Lord.
72. ثُمَّ نُنَجِّي الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّنَذَرُ الظَّالِمِينَ فِيهَا جِثِيًّاO
72. Then We shall deliver the Godfearing, and shall leave the wrongdoers in it (Hell) down on their knees.
73. وَإِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِمْ آيَاتُنَا بَيِّنَاتٍ قَالَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ أَيُّ الْفَرِيقَيْنِ خَيْرٌ مَّقَامًا وَأَحْسَنُ نَدِيًّاO
73. And when Our enlightening Verses are recited to them, the disbelievers say to the believers: ‘(See in the selfsame world) which of us two groups has better housing and a more influential social circle.’
74. وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هُمْ أَحْسَنُ أَثَاثًا وَرِئْيًاO
74. And how many a people have We destroyed before them who were better off (than these) in worldly assets and pomp and show!
75. قُلْ مَن كَانَ فِي الضَّلاَلَةِ فَلْيَمْدُدْ لَهُ الرَّحْمَنُ مَدًّا حَتَّى إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ إِمَّا الْعَذَابَ وَإِمَّا السَّاعَةَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ هُوَ شَرٌّ مَّكَانًا وَأَضْعَفُ جُندًاO
75. Say: ‘The Most Kind (Lord also) grants respite in age and luxury to the one who is lost in error until, when they see what they have been promised—the torment or the Day of Rising—then they will come to know him who is worse in respect of dwelling and (also) weaker in respect of troops.’
76. وَيَزِيدُ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ اهْتَدَوْا هُدًى وَالْبَاقِيَاتُ الصَّالِحَاتُ خَيْرٌ عِندَ رَبِّكَ ثَوَابًا وَخَيْرٌ مَّرَدًّاO
76. Allah adds to the guidance of those who are guided aright. And in the sight of your Lord, the lasting pious deeds are better in respect of reward and (also) more valuable in terms of end result.
77. أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي كَفَرَ بِآيَاتِنَا وَقَالَ لَأُوتَيَنَّ مَالاً وَوَلَدًاO
77. Have you seen such a person that rejected Our Signs and said: ‘I shall certainly be given wealth and children (the same way, even on the Day of Resurrection)’?
78. أَطَّلَعَ الْغَيْبَ أَمِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَنِ عَهْدًاO
78. Is he aware of the unseen, or has he taken any promise from the Most Kind (Lord)?
79. كَلاَّ سَنَكْتُبُ مَا يَقُولُ وَنَمُدُّ لَهُ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ مَدًّاO
79. No way! We shall keep writing down what he says, and shall keep increasing for him torment (upon torment).
80. وَنَرِثُهُ مَا يَقُولُ وَيَأْتِينَا فَرْدًاO
80. And (after his death) We shall inherit from him what he proclaims, and he will come to Us all alone (without wealth and children).
81. وَاتَّخَذُوا مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ آلِهَةً لِّيَكُونُواْ لَهُمْ عِزًّاO
81. And they have taken (many other) gods apart from Allah so that they may be a source of honour for them.
82. كَلاَّ سَيَكْفُرُونَ بِعِبَادَتِهِمْ وَيَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِمْ ضِدًّاO
82. By no means! Soon will these (false gods themselves) reject their worship and become their enemies.
83. أَلَمْ تَرَ أَنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا الشَّيَاطِينَ عَلَى الْكَافِرِينَ تَؤُزُّهُمْ أَزًّاO
83. Have you not seen that We have sent satans upon the disbelievers? They keep rousing them (against Islam) all the time.
84. فَلاَ تَعْجَلْ عَلَيْهِمْ إِنَّمَا نَعُدُّ لَهُمْ عَدًّاO
84. So do not make haste against them (for torment). We Ourselves keep counting the days (for their impending catastrophe).
85. يَوْمَ نَحْشُرُ الْمُتَّقِينَ إِلَى الرَّحْمَنِ وَفْدًاO
85. On the Day, when We shall assemble the Godfearing, and take them (as guests of honour) to the presence of the Most Kind (Lord) on carriages;
86. وَنَسُوقُ الْمُجْرِمِينَ إِلَى جَهَنَّمَ وِرْدًاO
86. And We shall drive the sinners thirsty towards Hell;
87. لاَ يَمْلِكُونَ الشَّفَاعَةَ إِلاَّ مَنِ اتَّخَذَ عِندَ الرَّحْمَنِ عَهْدًاO
87. (On that Day,) people will not possess the authority to intercede, except those who have taken a promise (of intercession) from the Most Kind (Lord).
88. وَقَالُوا اتَّخَذَ الرَّحْمَنُ وَلَدًاO
88. And (the disbelievers) say: ‘The Most Kind (Lord) has taken (to Himself) a son.’
89. لَقَدْ جِئْتُمْ شَيْئًا إِدًّاO
89. (O disbelievers!) You have indeed brought most horrible and unusual evil (on your tongues).
90. تَكَادُ السَّمَاوَاتُ يَتَفَطَّرْنَ مِنْهُ وَتَنشَقُّ الْأَرْضُ وَتَخِرُّ الْجِبَالُ هَدًّاO
90. The heavens may just burst at this (fabricated lie) and the earth split asunder and the mountains fall down to pieces,
91. أَن دَعَوْا لِلرَّحْمَنِ وَلَدًاO
91. That they have attributed a son to the Most Kind (Lord).
92. وَمَا يَنبَغِي لِلرَّحْمَنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًاO
92. And it is not befitting the Glory of the Most Kind (Lord) to take (someone as) a son.
93. إِن كُلُّ مَن فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ إِلاَّ آتِي الرَّحْمَنِ عَبْدًاO
93. Whoever is (dwelling) in the heavens and the earth (whether an angel, a jinn or a human being) will appear just as a servant before the Most Kind (Lord).
94. لَقَدْ أَحْصَاهُمْ وَعَدَّهُمْ عَدًّاO
94. (Allah) has surely encompassed them with His (knowledge) and has counted them thoroughly (i.e., numbering them one by one).
95. وَكُلُّهُمْ آتِيهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَرْدًاO
95. And each one of them has to appear before His presence alone on the Day of Resurrection.
96. إِنَّ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ سَيَجْعَلُ لَهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ وُدًّاO
96. Surely, those who believed and did pious deeds, the Most Kind (Lord) will create love for them in the hearts (of the people).
97. فَإِنَّمَا يَسَّرْنَاهُ بِلِسَانِكَ لِتُبَشِّرَ بِهِ الْمُتَّقِينَ وَتُنذِرَ بِهِ قَوْمًا لُّدًّاO
97. So We have indeed made this (Qur’an) easy in your own tongue so that, by means of it, you may communicate good news to the Godfearing and may warn thereby the contentious people.
98. وَكَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا قَبْلَهُم مِّن قَرْنٍ هَلْ تُحِسُّ مِنْهُم مِّنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْ تَسْمَعُ لَهُمْ رِكْزًاO
98. And how many a community have We destroyed before them! Do you perceive even a trace or hear even the faintest fizzle of any of them?
