English Language have to find a suitable Pronouns for Allah

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

" Dia lah Allah, Yang Maha Esa " is a Melayu ( Malay ) sentence. Translated into English as He is Allah, the One and Only

In bahasa Melayu ( Malay language ) , no problem but in English, if we read by the mean as in English grammar, we can fall into Shirk / Syirik.

The Malay word " Dia " does not represent gender, it can be used to man or woman and even to God while the English word He, She, Him or Her represent gender.

Example:

Dia suka belajar. Translated into English as He likes to study. In English sentence, we can identify the person who like to study whether he is a man or may be a boy but in the Melayu sentence " Dia suka belajar " we could not know whether the person is a man, a woman, a girl or a boy because the word " Dia " does not represent gender . This is the good about English word.

Another example:

" Dia lah Allah, Yang Maha Esa " is a Melayu ( Malay ) sentence. Translated into English as He is Allah, the One and Only

In English, if we read by the mean as in English grammar, we can fall in to Shirk / Syirik because one of the attributes of Allah is

Mukhalafatuhu lilhawadith ﻣﺨﺎﻟﻔﺘﻪ ﻟﻠﺤﻮﺍﺩﺙ
( one of the attributes of Allah in Sifat 20 )
meaning Allah does not resemble any of His creations, either in His Self, His Attributes, or His Doings. This means that Allah is not a man or a woman; He is not "a Father" or "a Mother". He does not have a wife, a mother, a father, a son, or a daughter; He has no equal or partner. Allah does not divide into parts; no creation, including man, has "a part of Allah" in him, nor can any creation become like Allah. He is the only God.

This is the lack of English language, don't have pronouns ( ganti nama ) suit to Allah's attribute. Allah is not same to Allah's creation./ mankind / makhluk.

Conclusion

1. The words "He", "His", and "Him" when used in reference to Allah must not be understood to represent gender. Allah created males and females and is not similar to any of the creations

3. Meaning of Shirk / Syirik - the word shirk in Arabic means taking a partner, i.e., regarding someone as the partner of another. It is said [in Arabic]: ashraka baynahuma (he joined them together) when he regarded them as two of equal status; or ashraka fi amrihi ghayrahu (he introduced another into his affair) when he made two people involved in it.

In terms of sharee’ah or Islamic terminology, shirk means ascribing a partner or rival to Allaah in Lordship (ruboobiyyah), worship or in His names and attributes.- islam.worldofislam
